Andi, Tre and I met in 2018 when they modeled a tiny elopement shoot in CO for me. Who would’ve known that 2 years later, I would be photographing their elopement in ZION NATIONAL PARK?
Tre and Andi like to spend their time traveling and adventuring around different countries. Last July, Tre proposed to Andi in Uganda using Andi’s Grandmother’s ring. The exact ring she had always wanted. As soon as they posted that they were engaged, I reached out and congratulated them.
I assumed they’d be eloping somewhere amazing, but to my surprise, they decided to have a wedding in Charleston, South Carolina with their closest friends and family. We talked about their desire to have an adventure engagement photo sessions and decided on Utah! The gorgeous Zion National park would be perfect for those.
The week of their engagement photos came around and Andi emailed me asking if we could jump on a call. I thought it was just to set our timeline in stone- you know, locations, times, etc. They sprung it on me… they wanted to elope!
I asked Andi + Tre what they told their families and she said, ” We told them we established our own set of values for OUR family and that eloping felt right to us. We wanted to prioritize our marriage and not just the wedding and financially we wanted to save for our first house.”
So that was it! They eloped. Zion had a few of their trails closed down so we decided on Canyon Overlook, which is AMAZING! Zion is probably my favorite National Park that I’ve ever been to.
Andi + Tre, I am so happy that our paths crossed 2 years ago. Thank you so much for trusting me and choosing me to document your elopement. I am forever grateful for your friendship <3 See you in a year for an awesome adventure anniversary session!
