Weddings are my true passion! Before every wedding, I send out a little 10 question email, asking about the bride and groom’s relationship. Just for myself- to get a little feel of how the couples are! KC’s responses to my questions were just to great to keep to myself! I won’t over share their love for each other, but these two definitely needed some attention!
Who pursued who?
KC’s response: Well funny you should ask…pursuit would imply running away…and well…lets just say I had to figure out which state she was in when I wanted to ask her on a second date. So I’ll say I pursued her…actually I had to put an amber alert out on her 😉
Monica’s response: He pursued! He asked me out on our second date while I was away on a spa weekend in New Mexico. Comical actually because he swears I ran away from him when he tells the story! (He likes to embellish a bit)
Where do you see yourself in 30 years?
KC’s response: In my 70’s. Bragging to everyone about my hot 60 yr old wife. I’ll also probably be a little senile but still insist I can drive and know my way home.
Monica’s response: I’ll be 65…. Soooooo…. More than likely I’ll be chasing down leads on my husband’s whereabouts because his cantankerous old self will be in some sort of trouble… I’m sure he’ll be at the VA hitting on nurses and claiming to be younger than his 70 plus years… Ugh.. That kid!
Just by those two questions, you can imagine how absolutely entertaining my day was!
KC and Monica were married in downtown El Paso on Friday, February 12th. A very sweet short and sweet elopement, followed by a small lunch, and then studio time for their bridal portraits! Monica and I spent hours talking about how her wedding day was going to play out, and how she wanted her bridal portraits taken. Our plans changed about a thousand times over the last couple of months! Monica was able to rent the Railyard Studio in downtown El Paso for a few hours. She wanted professional bridals, but something that you wouldn’t see for every single married couple. As a photographer, I absolutely LOVE unique plans! And I don’t think you’ll find many weddings in El Paso that are taken indoors! (:
KC and Monica- I just want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for letting me be a part of your special day! You two were absolutely amazing to work with and your wedding, was one of my absolute favorite weddings to date! Whoever said you needed a huge church wedding with 1,000 guests, was definitely mistaken!
