I had the chance to meet with Zoe, the owner of Blue Summit Pottery last Thursday. I fell in love with her pottery that I found through Instagram hashtags and knew I had to meet her. Not just to buy some awesome Asheville mugs, but to watch her work. I ended up buying 3 mugs, a bowl, and a plate while I was there. Call me crazy. But it’s so gorgeous!
There is such a big difference in store bought crap and hand made pottery. I’m serious! It’s so thick. It’s so beautiful. The colors are SO vibrant. I’m obsessed.
HUGE thank you to Zoe for taking an hour or two to spin a diffuser and bowl so I could literally take photos and ask her 10,000 annoying photos about her process and what she does. I loved every single second of our hang out session. Make sure to check out that motion on those photos. I’ve never taken photos of something constantly spinning in circles. It was so fun for the last few to just slow my shutter speed way down and get ALL of the motion. Look for more from Blue Summit over the next couple of months!
