When McKenzie and I started talking about her wedding day… she made it clear that she really wanted an intimate and personal day. You know me… intimate and personal is my JAM! We started planning their engagement session and when she mentioned The Biltmore greenhouse… swoon! It was love at first sight. I’ve been to The Biltmore quite a few times. You know, engagement sessions, proposals, etc. But this was my first time walking into the Greenhouse. I felt like I could set up a tent in the middle of the palms and just live there for a day (:
McKenzie + Joseph told me that they’re extremely awkward in front of the camera. Honestly, what couple doesn’t say that? In reality… they killed it. We wove around groups of people and had a few sit down moments to just relax. When you see the photos of her ring… that’s her grandmother’s stone reset into a ring that was her style. How amazing is that?! To wear something that once belonged to your grandparents. I hope her grandmother loves the ring shots as much as I do!
To McKenzie + Joe, I can’t wait to photograph your big day! It’ll be even more intimate and personal than the gorgeous greenhouse! Thank you sho much for allowing me to photograph one part of your love story!
